The
Downtown Elementary Magnet Academy PTA is very active in the education of our children.
We feel that our
involvement is essential and motivating for both our children and the educational staff at
DEMA. We are proud of our involvement to date. We intend to grow our membership
and increase our involvement and support.
Currently we sponsor a number of school activities, including: supporting the fourth grade Original Opera, Safety Patrol, Student Council, Cultural Arts Programs, as well as Teacher Appreciation events. To achieve our goals of involvement and increase those goals at DEMA, we sponsor several fundraising projects each year. We have been involved in take home fundraisers, a school store and a number of other events.
We encourage and welcome support people to volunteer in any and all PTA functions. If you are interested in assisting in any way, please contact the school or fill out the membership form found on the PTA homepage and send it to the school.
